Meet the Candidates Highlights

On Tuesday October 21 the Rutland County Pro Business Coalition held its Meet the Candidate Meeting at Table 24 in Rutland.

It was the largest political event of its kind ever held in Rutland and the turnout was extremely good.

Over 20 Rutland County Candidates came to the event and they met with approximately 70 local business people. It was an excellent opportunity for the Rutland Business Community to talk with the candidates and explain to them why business is so important to the local economy. At one point the politicians went to one side of the room and the Coalition Members went to the opposite side of the room. The business people then yelled out to the politicians "We're as mad as hell and we can't take it anymore!" This was done in fun and got a huge round of laughter but it was also taken on a serious note. We then let them know that we would be watching them once they got to office.
